Start your day with a stop at Terreiro da Luta. Continuing, we ascend towards Pico do Arieiro, the island’s third-highest peak, offering breathtaking vistas at 1818-meters above sea level.
Descending from the island’s pinnacle, we wind through pristine forests to encounter the traditional thatched-roof houses, a quintessential Madeira sight. Along the coastal route, picturesque villages and stunning seascapes lead us to the easternmost point, providing panoramic views of both the bold north and sunny south coasts.
Venturing onto the northern slopes, we arrive at Ribeiro Frio, a gateway to popular ‘levada’ walks amidst original vegetation and trout pools. Lunch awaits in Santana, known for its charming thatched triangular houses.
